Entertainment agreements in Thailand sit primarily under the Civil and Commercial Code, which governs contract formation and enforcement. Intellectual property aspects are covered by the Copyright Act B.E. 2537 (1994) and, for performing artists, the Performers' Rights Act B.E. 2558 (2015). Foreign co-productions may also engage private international law principles when governing law clauses and territorial rights are at issue.

There is no general requirement that commercial contracts in Thailand be written in Thai to be enforceable between private parties. However, presenting agreements in parallel Thai and English reduces the scope for disputes about meaning and is standard practice for any contract that Thai-language signatories will need to read, reference, or produce in a Thai court or regulatory proceeding.

A standard Talent and Production Contract drafting engagement typically requires seven to fourteen working days from the date we receive a clear brief. More complex arrangements — such as multi-party co-productions with international elements — will take longer, and we discuss realistic timelines with you before beginning any engagement.

A brief description of the project or operation, the parties involved, any existing agreements or term sheets, and a sense of the timeline and territory are a helpful starting point. We do not require formal documents for an initial consultation — a plain summary of what you are building and what concerns you is enough to shape a productive first discussion.

The programme is designed to be reviewed at quarterly intervals. Scope adjustments — adding a new catalogue territory, bringing in a subsidiary, or expanding into distribution — can be discussed and incorporated at those review points. The quarterly written update provides a natural moment to assess whether the programme still fits the operation.

The stated fee applies to the scope of work described at the outset. If the scope changes materially — for example, a production adds several additional locations or a distribution arrangement expands to a new territory — we would discuss the adjustment with you before proceeding. We do not modify fees without prior agreement.
